Kitchen Design Course for Beginners - How to join in.
It’s not too late! A design course for beginners wanting to save money on a new kitchen. How to join in at any time & a round up so far.
Lots of people are joining the HOME & HORT community and want to start my Kitchen Design Course for Beginners.
As I’m writing this the oppressive grey clouds on the coast are slowly parting and I can just see a cheeky hint of blue sky. Will my soothsaying reel on Instagram this morning come true? I fear I may have been a tad too optimistic. Here’s hoping though. I’ve got weeding to do and a hoe that needs breaking in!
But, I digress. I’m here to give you all a little round up of everything that has happened so far on the kitchen design course. I thought it might be useful to know where to look for each stage. Some people are just starting out and some are ready for Stage 4, which will be out this Sunday. I know, it can’t come soon enough, can it! I’ll be telling you which company we used for our high end, but DIY kitchen and exactly how I did it all.
The final instalment in two weeks time will be all about the finishing stage, lighting, worktops, appliances and brassware. I’ll be rummaging through my rather dog-eared little black book to divulge all my secret sources!
A round up of what’s happened so far.
You can join in at any time. If you have any questions, then you can always direct message me, or leave a comment and I’ll answer ASAP. If you’re new around these parts, then welcome and hello. Perhaps you might like to know a little more about me and what I do? If so, you can find that here.
This is an article about our current kitchen renovation. This is a precursor to the course. I suggest you start here for background info.
Stage One - This is where you’ll find the first task and get to grips with what you really want in your new kitchen.
Stage Two - In this stage we discuss the kitchen triangle rule (which can be broken), the fancy alternatives to that rule (including my very own tried and tested method), how to measure up and things to watch out for.
Stage Three - Here I’ll tell you all about storage, islands, open shelving, pantries and cupboard placement.
Stage Four and Stage Five will be this Sunday and next Sunday with a bonus post in between each stage about how I made my own library ladder and rail for our kitchen. You won’t want to miss it!
I hope that’s helpful. Right, it looks like the clouds are indeed clearing. Well, enough to get outside. I’ve got a date with my hoe! Speak soon friends.
