We’re Going Live on Substack!
Come and join my little test run as I jabber on about nothing. PLEASE!
Well, who would have thought it? The last thing I ever expected to be doing when I joined Substack in late summer of 2023 was putting myself out there live on the tinterweb without so much as a filter for all to gawp at. If you know me from Instagram, then you’re probably wondering what the hell I’m going on about as I used to talk for England on there. Ah, but you see, that was all pre-recorded! It might have only been recorded a minute or so earlier, but I was always able to edit out any guffaws. I’ve only ever done one live broadcast in my life and so far have avoided repeating it! Until this Thursday 30th January 2025 that is. Yikes!
Yes indeedy, I will be pressing that scary as hell orange button at 4.30pm GMT, 8.30am PST. It’ll be free for all to watch live. You’ll need to download the Substack app to be able to view the live and participate. Please do say hello. Make sure you turn on notifications so that the app can alert you.
What will I talk about? Well, first of all I’ll want to say a big hello to all you guys, but then I just thought I’d do a short intro and say a little about myself and what HOME & HORT is all about. I might say a little about what it was like setting up for my first live, something is bound to go wrong, which should be funny. The whole thing should be no more than 15-20 minutes or so and hopefully it’s a bit of fun.
I’ll also be popping onto our private Chat with a large glass of Chablis straight afterwards to calm down, answer any other questions and have a bit of a giggle. You can find our Chat with the link below, but you will need to be a paid subscriber for that. If you haven’t said hello yet then we’d love to hear from you.
If it all goes well, then I plan to do many more lives as the renovation of our barn and walled garden begins.
See you there this Thursday 30th January at 4.30pm UK time.
