Midweek Musings #3
An extended video reveal of the mezzanine wall, the best paint rollers in the world, my favourite brush & the Japanese Anemones in full bloom.
It’s been one of those weeks so far where there are so many things on that I’m not sure whether I’m coming or going. This morning after my shower I sprayed shaving foam into the palm of my hand only to inadvertently apply it to my hair like it was hair gel. I didn’t notice until I started to shave realising very quickly that my face was bone dry. Oh how I giggled! Don’t tell anyone. It’ll be our little secret. I don’t want to be carted off to an institution any time soon!
Midweek Musings is a new feature on H&H, which is ad-hoc and may not be every week, although I’ll try. It’s a much shorter post than my Sunday column and will usually take the form of a video, so I can show you things first hand. It could be a garden or room update, or just something silly that I want to share with you over a glass of wine. It’s a bit of fun. Btw - next week I’ll be starting on the crown-lifting of an ugly holly tree and soon I’ll be showing you our snazzy new glass wall that changes from clear to opaque at the touch of button!
Today I’m offering up a short little video of the painting of the mezzanine area and I’ll be telling you about my favourite paint rollers, which do not splatter at all and leave a smooth finish instead of the orange-peel effect most rollers give you. There’s also a mini roller which is so good you’d think you’d spray-painted. I’ll also be revealing the next room to get a makeover and showing my anemones!
HOME & HORT had quite the flurry of new members since my anniversary post on Sunday. A big warm welcome to all of you and thank you for joining our happy club. Do make yourself known in the comments. Everyone is so friendly here. Paid members can direct message me if you have any queries, but we also have the Chat facility, which is a bit like a WhatsApp group. Anyone can start a new thread there and ask anything at all, or share photos of their home/garden. It’s a great way to meet other H&H folk. You need the app for Chat, so if you haven’t got that yet, then download it here:
