I said in my first launch letter that at some point I would be turning on the paid subscriber option. That time has come and I’m here to tell you how it will all work and why it’s worth clicking on the upgrade button if you’re already a free subscriber. Plus there’s a 48 hour flash sale with 20% off forever!
Hello you gorgeous lot. How the devil are you? Time has really flown since I moved my newsletter over from my website to Substack. Summer has now sauntered into autumn and so much has happened in the meantime. I can’t believe we’re talking pumpkins already! I’m slightly blown away by the response to my posts so far and I want to thank you all for being so lovely and supportive.
The JP’s Life and Loves tribe has almost doubled since my debut on here, which I never in my wildest dreams thought would happen. A huge welcome to you all. Make yourselves at home, pull up a cosy blanket and pour yourself something fabulous. My home and garden are your home and garden, so don’t be shy! If you’re new to me and want to find out more about me and why I started this newsletter, then go to my About Page.
From the start I promised you up to four newsletters a month and that I’d pop on for chats. Mission one accomplished. I’m absolutely loving our chats btw in the comments on a Sunday morning. It’s such a great community here and so much more fun than my old one-way blog and a darn sight better than Instagram right now too!
I said at some point that I would record audio versions of the columns that lend themselves to be listened to. I have now recorded six for you so far and you can find them under Podcasts on my page. In our ever busy world, it makes sense to make my writing as accessible as possible. If you can listen whilst cooking the supper, or weeding your borders, that’s fine by me!
Very soon I will be turning on the chat option, which will be under Threads on my page. It’s a good idea to download the app for this. Here we will be able to have live discussions about interiors, gardens and life. Sometimes I will be there and start the conversation off, or answer your questions. But, it’s also a space where you can all chat amongst yourselves, make friends and learn new things.
One other very exciting thing is that at some point I will be doing mini home and garden video tours where I chat about my design choices and the things I’ve learned and the tricks I’ve used. I know from my followers on Instagram that this is something they have been asking for.
Finally, there’s also something called JP Loves in the pipeline, which I’m hoping will be a monthly pick of my favourite interior trends, garden gadgets and plants, places to visit, clever household remedies, recipes and gift ideas. It’s pretty much a round up of all the things I love that month.
So, what’s actually changing then?
All that writing, video and audio recording takes a long time and I have big plans to offer so much more than that too. However, it’s just not possible for me to spend this much time creating things for you without earning an income. We’ve all got to pay the bills. So, from today there will be three levels of subscription: free, paid and founding member. It’s totally up to you as to which one you choose and there is absolutely no pressure from me to have to do anything.
I’m still going to be writing my fabulous trendy newsletter thingie (used to be called a blog post, but that’s so 2019) up to four times a month, depending on whether you a free or a paid subscriber. It will still be full of my latest musings on interior trends, DIY, gardening design and advice. Woven within all of that will be stories from my life so far and a bit of gossip and giggles thrown in for good measure. The audio recordings will remain too, but most will be for paid subscribers.
My aim is to try and keep as much of my writing as free as I can, whilst still earning a living. See the free option as the “pop concert”, if you like. However, the VIP backstage pass will be the paid option and if you want drinks with the lead singer, then that’s the founding member option.
What do I get with each option?
Free subscribers will still get up to two newsletters a month direct to your inbox. One, or two of the audio recordings will also still be free. You’ll be able to see a short preview of everything else to tempt you! Believe me, I very much appreciate you all and fully understand if paying isn’t an option right now.
Paid subscribers will get up to four newsletters a month direct to your inbox. You will also have access to all the audio recordings. As a paid member of the tribe you’ll also be able to comment on my posts and join in on our member only chats and Q&A sessions. As well as that, you’ll get full access to the whole of my archive, which isn’t huge at the moment, but soon enough will be spilling over with interior and horticultural joy. You’ll also get exclusive access to my home and garden mini tours and an enormous thank you from me.
Founding members or super supportive buddies, as I like to call them, will get everything that a paid subscriber gets, but also a 45 minute virtual interior/garden design consultation with me personally. We can discuss interior or garden design issues you might have, or just have a good old natter - up to you. You will also receive my undying gratitude for eternity!
Why subscribe or upgrade now?
Well, because for 48 hours only, starting right now, I’m offering you all the chance to get 20% off! You heard that right and what’s more, whatever price you pay now will always be the price you pay. It will never go up as long as you stay subscribed.
So, where do I sign up?
Just hit the button below to subscribe or upgrade. If you’re new to me, hello and welcome. Get ready for fun in your inbox (not a euphemism)!
I’m so excited about the future and I can’t wait bring you all along for the ride. I’d absolutely love it if you left a comment today or shared this post, so do feel free! Bye for now my friends.
